Your audio stays on your device

Audio and video files are decoded and transcribed in your browser. They are not transmitted to us or to third parties.

Model files from Hugging Face

When you start a transcription, your browser downloads the model files from Hugging Face, Inc. (USA). Hugging Face receives your IP address and technical request data, not your audio. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the requested function). The files are stored in your browser cache.

Hosting and delivery

The site is hosted by Hostinger and delivered via Cloudflare DNS. Technical data such as IP address, time and requested page are processed to deliver and protect the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Webtools Pro

If you connect Webtools Pro by Answer the Web, we set a technically necessary cookie “atw_sat” (pseudonymous ID, 30 days) to check your Pro status (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Purchase and account are handled on answertheweb.com.

Statistics

Koko Analytics runs on our server without cookies and without personal data. Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) is loaded only after consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings”.
